Merry Christmas Friends and Family!
Well, 2010 proved to be a year of change on so many levels both planned and unplanned. God has used each to shape us and mold us more into His image and to reveal areas that still desperately need work. Amen!We can hardly believe that Joshua will be one on January 14th and Emily will be three on February 6th. Time has flown by.
As you can see, now with two little ones aboard the train, there is never a dull moment! These two sweethearts love one another immensely, but, truth be told, Miss Emily can't wait until Mr. Joshua starts sharing in on the disciplinary actions in addition to the TLC! She is a wonderful big sister however, and Joshy just adores her to pieces. His whole face lights up when she kisses him and she dotes on him like a little mother would.
Some cute things Miss Em is doing:
- She asks for her "private seat" every time she uses the bathroom (privacy).
- She sings songs non-stop and is always toting around a baby or stuffed animal.
- She wants to know everyone's middle name, and first and last for that matter. She even asks the sales clerks at Target and nurses at the doctor's office.
Some cute things Mr. Joshy is doing:
- He recently taught himself to play the kazoo.
- His first word was "mama," closely followed by a head shake and "no, no, no." I wonder where he hears that?
- He can chuck his pacifier behind his bed like a major league baseball player! If in doubt where his pacifier is then look between the crib and the wall and you are sure to find one, and up to four, down there.
Us:
Ron and I are busy growing and changing as well. However, we hope that ours isn't in size as much as in character and obedience.
Ron has been busy running hundreds of miles this year (literally) and impacting youth and their families with all he has for Christ. Additionally, this year brought the launch of 11911, a scripture memorization company that Ron co-founded. We are excited about this added ministry and the possibility of changed lives through increased scripture memorization. He is a wonderful daddy and husband and I look forward to what this new year will bring his faithfulness.
I am still adjusting to life as a mom of two and a pastor's wife. Just when you think you have things somewhat figured out they change. That is the joy of living and the test of it too. This past spring, I was so blessed by a series that Ron preached on raising the risk in relationships that I started a second blog at http://www.raisetherisk.wordpress.com/. I hope that it has spurred someone on in his/her walk with God, but even if not it has been such a joy to my soul and walk with God.
Although, I quit working in the school system in January of 2010, I am now working a few hours a week at a local Christian school. It has been good to get back into speech and language therapy and working with teachers, parents, and students.
You:
Thank you for taking your time to catch up with us. You have been used by God, whether this year, or in the past, to mold us into the people we are, or are becoming. Thank you for your friendship and your love. Thank you for caring about us, our children, or both. God bless you in the new year and may you raise the risk in your own lives and draw closer to the One who gave you life.
Love,
The Looney Cooney's
